Dragon Dodge Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Dragon Dodge game ("the game") uses, why, and what choices you have. Dragon Dodge is made by Happy Thoughts Games, an independent developer. If you have a question, email support@happythoughtsgames.com.
The short version
- The game does not ask for your real name, email address, location, contacts, photos or microphone.
- Your scores and settings are saved on your own device.
- If you use the online high score board, your chosen player name and your scores are stored online so other players can see them.
- The game is free and shows a full-screen ad between some runs. Our ad partners receive limited device information to show and measure those ads.
- On iPhone and iPad, the game does not ask to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Information stored on your device
The game saves a few things on your phone or tablet so it works the way you left it:
- Your best score and your top scores on this device
- The player name you choose for the high score board
- Whether sound is on or muted
This information stays on your device. Deleting the game removes it.
Online high scores
The game has an optional worldwide high score board, provided by Unity Gaming Services. When it is used, the game creates an anonymous player account for your device. This account does not include your real name or email. The following is stored online:
- A random player ID created by Unity
- The player name you choose (you can change it at any time on the High Scores screen)
- Your scores
Your player name and scores are shown to other players on the board. Please choose a name that does not reveal personal information.
Game Center and Google Play Games
On iPhone and iPad, the game can submit your scores to Apple Game Center. On Android, it can submit them to Google Play Games. These services are run by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies, and you can sign out of them in your device settings.
Technical and crash information
Dragon Dodge is built with the Unity game engine. Unity may automatically collect limited technical information, such as device model, operating system version and crash reports, to help keep the game stable. See Unity's privacy policy for players for details. The app stores (Apple and Google) may also share crash and performance statistics with us that do not identify you.
Advertising
Dragon Dodge is free to play and is supported by ads. Every few runs, a full-screen ad may appear when you start a new run. Ads are delivered by Unity LevelPlay (Unity Technologies, including ironSource) and the ad networks it works with, such as Unity Ads.
To choose, show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, these partners may automatically collect:
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language, screen size and the app version
- An identifier for your device used for advertising or for this app, where your device settings allow it
- Your IP address and an approximate location (such as country or city) worked out from it
- How you interact with ads, such as whether an ad was shown, completed or tapped
On iPhone and iPad, Dragon Dodge does not ask for permission to track you, so ad partners do not receive Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) from the game. On Android, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device's settings.
These partners handle this information under their own privacy policies: Unity and ironSource.
Children
Dragon Dodge is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we have told our ad partners that the game is not directed at children. If you believe a child has entered personal information as a player name, contact us and we will remove it.
Deleting your information
- To delete information saved on your device, delete the game.
- To limit the information used for ads, use your device's privacy and advertising settings. You can also contact Unity directly through the privacy policy linked above.
- To have your online high score entry removed, email support@happythoughtsgames.com with your player name, and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the game uses information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
